Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.Zechariah 4:6
8 “ . . . I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God.Luke 12:8-9
9 But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.
Right off the bat Zech. 4:6 caught my attention. I’m sure the reason was my current struggle with recovering from my knee replacement. For those who choose to believe that the Bible is valid and necessary for faith in this modern age, we are able to apply this verse to many situations.
For me today, I know that the mountain in my way is getting my knee to bend and to reduce (or eliminate) the anxiety I’ve had over not progressing enough with the recovery. Too many bad things can happen if I do not get it bending. But I hear the Lord calling me away from what is seen to trust that He will be with me through all phases of my recovery. (Now if only I could give a deaf ear to fear.)
So Lord, I pray today that you would give me peace in this storm. I need Your help in my recovery. Thank you for all the people in my life today who do their best to encourage me. Forgive me Lord of denying them the joy of encouraging a brother. I surrender my progress to you, being diligent to do what I can. (my exercises and therapy)
